Stem Footwear, founded by runner Andrew Rademacher, makes minimalist “barefoot” casual shoes designed to promote natural walking and reduce injury. Preparing to move from concept to commerce, the Pennsylvania startup faced the challenge of launching a distinct brand in a sparse market while supporting B2B wholesale, a customized storefront, strong customer support, and the ability to handle early demand from preorder interest.
Stem partnered with design firm Marketing Media and launched on 3dcart for its B2B flexibility, CSS customization and responsive support. Using 3dcart features (Facebook store, coupon management, Authorize.net and live chat), Stem converted strong prelaunch interest—more than 2,000 requests—into sales: 45 items in the first 30 minutes, 100 orders within six hours and over 180 customers on day one, enabling a smooth, scalable ecommerce start.
