Ink 4 Cakes, founded in 2007 and selling edible baking products like wafer paper, icing sheets, and edible ink cartridges, was struggling with site search on its Shift4Shop-powered store. Broad keyword results made it hard for shoppers to find the right products, which hurt sales and increased the burden on customer support.

To solve this, Ink 4 Cakes used the FusionBot app from the Shift4Shop app store and worked with FusionBot to build a custom “Edible Ink Finder” with dynamic filtering and advanced search. The new experience simplified product discovery, and in the first month Ink 4 Cakes saw an 8% increase in conversions and a 30% drop in customer support calls, while managing everything seamlessly through Shift4Shop.
