OrnamentMall.com is a family-run ecommerce site specializing in Hallmark ornaments that sees a major surge in orders from November through January as collectors and gift buyers flood the site. The core challenge was preparing for the holiday spike: handling much higher traffic and orders, keeping supplies and shipping running without interruption, and making marketing dollars count during the busiest season.

Beginning in October the team increased site bandwidth with 3dcart, worked with 3dcart’s Search Marketing team to optimize AdWords, stocked extra packing and shipping supplies, and promoted daily deals, homepage offers and email campaigns (including free shipping over $50). They also used the Endicia 3dcart plugin for quick USPS processing and kept personal service via phone orders and fast same/next-day fulfillment—resulting in smooth handling of high volume, timely 3–5 day deliveries, more efficient ad spend, and strong customer retention.
