Darien Lake Amusement Park needed a faster, more secure way to process high-volume lodging transactions across its campsites, hotels, cabins and glamping areas, which can accommodate more than 7,000 guests daily. In October 2014 the park selected Shift4 and integrated the DOLLARS ON THE NET® payment gateway to replace its existing system, seeking stronger payment security, quick deployment, and seamless compatibility with its PAR Springer-Miller PMS and various payment devices.

Shift4 performed an expedited installation of DOLLARS ON THE NET, adding TrueTokenization, i4Go® and later True P2PE™ to keep cardholder data offsite and encrypted at the point of sale. The result was a smooth, one-week rollout with no employee or guest disruptions and the capacity to handle a Cyber Monday promotion that generated over 1,400 reservations in less than 48 hours without any malfunctions—while reducing PCI scope and improving overall payment-security posture.
