Ride-Hailing Unicorn inDrive Leverages SHIELD’s Device Intelligence to Boost Trust and Fairness

inDrive, the fast-growing ride-hailing unicorn operating in 700+ cities across 47 countries, faced organized fraud that threatened user trust and fair pricing—fake accounts, app cloners, GPS spoofers and autoclickers were enabling ghost rides, incentive abuse and rating manipulation. To protect transparency and fairness as it expanded, inDrive partnered with SHIELD, using SHIELD’s Device Intelligence including the SHIELD ID to detect linked devices and malicious tooling across markets.

SHIELD implemented device-level identification, risk indicators for app tampering, GPS spoofing and cloners, plus real-time monitoring (SHIELD Sentinel) to flag and block fraudulent behavior without relying on PII. The result: SHIELD enabled inDrive to stop incentive abuse and fraud syndicates, boost trust across 700+ cities and 47 markets, and achieve best-in-class performance with over 99.77% genuine users.
