Thousands of Dell Chromebooks Support Illinois School District's One-to-One Initiative

Southern Illinois K-12 School District needed to support its one-to-one learning initiative by equipping thousands of students and staff with Chromebooks, but had limited IT resources, a tight timeframe, and a large-scale rollout to manage across 18 schools. SHI International Corp. helped the district deploy Dell Chromebooks, charging carts, and related licenses and services.

SHI International Corp. partnered with Dell to provide competitive pricing, full project management, configuration and imaging services, and logistics support, with most of the work completed during school breaks to avoid classroom disruption. The first phase delivered 1,500 Dell Chromebooks, and a later phase added 2,522 more Chromebooks, 220 laptops, 160 OptiPlex desktops, and 89 charging carts, helping the district continue its multi-year rollout on time and within budget.
