Texas Law Firm Switches Storage Platform and Cuts Renewal Costs in Half

Texas Law Firm, a Texas-based firm with 800+ lawyers serving industries like energy, oil and gas, finance, and real estate, needed a new storage and backup solution after its existing maintenance and services agreement expired. Facing a costly renewal offer and the need to avoid disrupting access for attorneys across multiple offices and two data centers, the firm turned to SHI International Corp. for help, along with Pure Storage, Veeam, and Quantum.

SHI International Corp. conducted a storage assessment and recommended a combined solution featuring Pure Storage FlashArrays, Veeam Availability Suite Enterprise Plus, and Quantum DXi backup systems. The new platform cut costs to about half of the renewal offer, saving more than $2.5 million upfront, while improving performance, application response, and long-term predictability with a flat seven-year TCO.
