West Quay Cars, a Southampton private hire operator handling around 50,000 bookings a month and up to 2,500 jobs a day, needed a more capable dispatch partner. Sherlock Taxi was brought in to replace a system that struggled with job allocation, real-time traffic conditions, and integrating passenger app bookings, which led to inaccurate ETAs and manual intervention during busy cruise ship days.

Sherlock Taxi implemented its core dispatch platform with built-in passenger app functionality, flexible allocation tools such as best driver and plots, and custom features for cruise ship operations including terminal fields, meeting points, and passenger/luggage details. The result was much stronger automation and control, with auto-allocation averaging 80% around the clock, improved job completion, and better prioritization during peak periods. Sherlock Taxi also supported rollout and training, helping West Quay Cars fully adopt the system and use its reporting tools to improve efficiency and marketing.
