Central Taxis Coventry partnered with Sherlock Taxi to replace an ageing dispatch system that was no longer meeting its needs. As the city’s largest taxi and private hire operator, handling 140,000 journeys a month with a fleet of more than 500 vehicles, it wanted better efficiency, improved visibility into driver behaviour, and a more reliable platform to support growth.
Sherlock Taxi implemented a new taxi dispatch system with a driver smartphone app, supported by onsite assistance before, during and after go-live, plus driver training and ongoing consultative support. The result was 100% automated allocation, increased efficiency and driver productivity, and much better reporting and GPS visibility, helping Central Taxis Coventry manage drivers more fairly and strengthen its competitive position.
