Invercargill City Council builds a new executive team with Sheffield, supporting 385 staff and $83m in annual income

Invercargill City Council, a key local government body in the Southland Region, sought to undertake a transformational change process to improve service standards and efficiency. Partnering with the vendor Sheffield, specifically their senior consultant Louise Green, the customer's challenge was to build an entirely new Executive Leadership Team to support this new organisational direction.

Sheffield implemented a solution combining targeted search and digital advertising to identify and attract high-caliber candidates, some of whom were not actively seeking new roles. As a result, Sheffield successfully placed three key General Managers. The customer praised Sheffield for their thorough understanding of the organisation and the detailed, insightful candidate reports, which ensured a high-quality appointment process and avoided wasting time. Sheffield's efforts were credited with securing a key appointee who may not have otherwise been recruited.
