Headspace, a consumer app company, wanted to provide a free subscription offer to educators to support their well-being and further its mission. The challenge was reaching this group directly at scale while preventing offer abuse that would cut into commercial sales. Headspace partnered with SheerID and its Audience Network product to solve this.
SheerID implemented a solution to digitally verify every educator who redeemed the offer, protecting it from fraud. This resulted in Headspace acquiring 25,000 new educator subscribers across three new markets. Using SheerID reduced offer abuse by 33% in the US and by 41% internationally, ensuring the offer remained exclusive and effective.
