Sugarlift - Customer Case Study

Sugarlift, a mission-driven art gallery, faced the challenge of scaling its manual, matchmaking process to connect artists with buyers beyond its physical walls. Their founder, Wright Harvey, lacked the technical expertise to build an online marketplace and needed a cost-effective solution to experiment quickly. They turned to the vendor Sharetribe for its marketplace platform.

Using Sharetribe, Sugarlift launched its online marketplace. This allowed them to thrive during the pandemic when the art industry shifted online, ultimately connecting over 500 artists with buyers. The platform provided the infrastructure to experiment and grow for six years. While Sugarlift has since transitioned to a B2B model and no longer uses the service, Sharetribe was instrumental in its initial digital growth and community building.
