Case Study: Vattenfall Solar Team achieves secure knowledge-sharing and real-time collaboration with ShareFile

Vattenfall - Customer Case Study

Vattenfall Solar Team, a student-run group from TU Delft, needed a better way to transfer knowledge between changing team members and securely manage large volumes of race data while building and racing its solar car. The team used ShareFile as its digital workspace and file-sharing platform to support collaboration during the World Solar Challenge and other races, especially when working remotely and under limited connectivity.

With ShareFile, Vattenfall Solar Team was able to securely sync, store, and share files, media, and real-time race data between race cars and its back office in the Netherlands. ShareFile helped the team quickly distribute updates to press and social media, preserve historical data for performance optimization, and support the team’s sustainability mission; the team also achieved third place in Solar Challenge Morocco.
