Groen & Boothman - Customer Case Study

Groen & Boothman, a design firm known for luxury jewelry and wearables, wanted a way to create highly customized bracelets that looked artistic and premium while still being durable and comfortable enough for everyday use. Working with ShapeWays, they used 3D printing services and materials to bring their algorithm-driven “Creatures Bracelet” concept to life, combining digital design, flexible printed structures, and handcrafted leather and metal finishes.

Using ShapeWays, the team was able to produce unique, fingerprint-like bracelets with intricate ribbed interiors and a fast, on-demand workflow that replaced slower CNC processes. The result was a distinctive luxury product line sold in an Amsterdam boutique, with each bracelet weighing about 20 grams and fitting like a glove. ShapeWays helped Groen & Boothman turn complex parametric designs into finished consumer products with greater speed, customization, and design freedom.
