Christie, the historic British auction house with a global footprint, faced a hero-driven culture, ad-hoc demand and weak systems and project planning that produced mixed-quality delivery, unnecessary system complexity and poor perception of IT. With new leadership and a planned major business and IT transformation, Christie engaged Shapecast to provide architecture and transformation services, including a solution architecture practice, data modelling and change-programme support.
Shapecast established a solution architecture practice, recruited the team, created frameworks and role descriptions, implemented a global data and end-to-end process model, ran portfolio analysis and application retirement planning, and supported vendor selection, prototyping and delivery assurance with cloud and implementation partners. As a result, Shapecast helped transform Christie’s IT into a more agile, well-structured function — delivering clear architectural and system roadmaps, a best-practices guidebook, better stakeholder buy-in and successful delivery from tier‑1 providers.
