WYSPR, a social data collection and "friendvertising" agency, approached the vendor Shakuro with a challenge. They needed to build a unique crowd-promotion service from the ground up, which included an iOS app for Instagram creatives and a complex project management portal for their internal team. A key obstacle was the innovative nature of the project, which required deep integration with Instagram's tightly restricted APIs to gather the essential statistical data their business model relies on.

Shakuro developed a data-driven solution using Ruby on Rails and React for the web platform and Swift for the native iOS app. The platform gave WYSPR managers robust tools for handling projects, payments, and analytics, while the app provided a sleek, user-friendly experience for creatives. The solution was successfully launched in June 2020. While substantial marketing results were pending at the time of the case study, the WYSPR team reported that the platform was efficient and accurate, fulfilling their vision for a new kind of influencer marketing tool.
