PRAKAB, a Prague-based manufacturer of railway, fire-safety and electricity cables, wanted better visibility into production because copper and aluminum are expensive materials and losses were hard to track. The company worked with Sewio Networks and PwC Czech Republic to get precise localization and process visibility for its coils and cables in a heavy industrial environment.

Sewio Networks provided a UWB-based real-time location system with 22 anchors covering 10,000 m² and 54 tracked objects. The solution helped PRAKAB monitor work in progress in real time, reduce copper and aluminum consumption, and achieve a payback period of 11 months after a four-month deployment.
