Budweiser Budvar boosts warehouse utilization by 19% with Sewio Networks

Budweiser Budvar, a Czech brewery, faced high maintenance costs and operational limitations with its existing RFID-based forklift tracking system. The system was prone to damage, slowed operations, and lacked true real-time location data. To overcome these challenges, Budweiser Budvar partnered with vendor Sewio Networks to implement its UWB-powered real-time location system (RTLS).

Sewio Networks implemented an indoor UWB RTLS that provided continuous, precise tracking of forklifts and over 20,000 pallets. The solution resulted in a 19% increase in system uptime and a 19% improvement in warehouse utilization. It also significantly reduced total ownership costs and provided valuable operational metrics, enabling Budweiser Budvar to win the Best Logistic Project of 2018 award.
