A SewerAI Case Study

Preview of the City of Phoenix Case Study

City of Phoenix selects SewerAI for 107-mile sewer assessment program, hitting 38% lining recommendations

The City of Phoenix, operating one of the largest municipal sewer systems in the Southwest, sought to expand the scope, improve data quality, and reduce costs of its $33 million small-diameter sewer rehabilitation program. The city partnered with SewerAI to integrate its Autocode AI-powered assessment into a 100-mile Year 1 pilot, aiming to streamline data transfer and increase the efficiency of its quarter-section inspection workflow.

SewerAI was implemented across three different CCTV contractors to consolidate and standardize data. The solution assessed over 181,000 linear feet of pipe, accurately identifying that 38% required CIPP lining and 2% needed point repairs. These results confirmed that SewerAI's AI-assisted assessment delivered accurate, actionable recommendations, enabling the City of Phoenix to make more confident capital allocations across its extensive program.
