Accedian Networks needed more granular, accurate network performance measurements than router-based IPSLA tests could provide, especially for low-latency services and Ethernet backhaul environments. Working with SevOne, the company sought better visibility into latency, jitter, and packet throughput, along with the ability to detect microbursts and improve service assurance.

SevOne and Accedian Networks implemented a solution using Accedian NIDs and SevOne performance analytics, including the SevOne xStats adapter to import data from Accedian Vision EMS. The result was sub-second monitoring, proactive baselining and alerting, improved test accuracy, and site-by-site reporting to verify service level guarantees, with earlier detection of performance degradation and clearer separation of core network issues from radio/RF problems.
