Fibranet Argentina Looked To Setplex To Provide An End To End Solution For OTT Video

Fibranet Argentina, a regional telecommunications provider with more than 17 years of operation, engaged Setplex to deliver an end-to-end OTT video solution. Fibranet’s challenge was to acquire live channels from satellite, downlink them, encode and transcode feeds, distribute content “over the top” with apps, and offer features like pause/rewind and catch‑up while integrating subscriber billing and CRM.

Setplex deployed on‑prem servers to decode satellite feeds, used in‑house transcoders to produce adaptive‑bitrate HLS streams pushed to Akamai, and implemented a 14‑day smart catchup and pause/rewind. Using Setplex’s NORA middleware (for CRM, billing, package and device management) and NORA GO cross‑platform apps (Android, iOS, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, LG/Samsung Smart TVs and desktop), Fibranet gained multi‑device delivery, end‑to‑end operational control and detailed analytics on usage, revenue and content consumption.
