Artmotion, the largest internet service provider and telecommunications leader in Kosovo, needed a single end-to-end platform to support both Multicast/IPTV customers and modern OTT/unicast viewers while delivering a consistent, feature-rich TV experience across set-top boxes, Smart TVs, mobile and web. To meet this challenge, Artmotion partnered with Setplex and its Setrix product to build a hybrid OTT/IPTV solution.
Setplex implemented a complete solution—middleware, transcoders, edge servers (Setrix), CDN and client apps—supporting multicast via STBs and unicast/OTT delivery with Live TV, VOD, Catch-up/DVR and interactive features. The deployment transcodes over 140 channels (majority HD), provides apps for Smart TVs, STBs, iOS, Android, PC/Mac/Linux and web, and extends mobile viewing outside the Artmotion network, delivering a unified user experience and full IPTV/OTT capability.
