Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting, a nonprofit investigative newsroom, needed a better way to create visually engaging long-form stories without relying on heavy custom code or slowing down its fast-paced editorial workflow. Working on WordPress, the team wanted a tool that could help designers and non-designers build richer article layouts for deep investigative pieces.

Reveal implemented Setka Editor to design more dynamic story layouts, combine text with photos, video, and graphics, and speed up production of presentation-focused packages. With Setka, the newsroom saw strong engagement on its “Caregivers and Takers” story, including 95–98% scroll depth and an average time on page of five minutes or more, showing the impact of improved design on reader retention.
