Lovehoney, an international online retailer of sex toys and lingerie, faced a puzzling drop in conversion rates on its US site that standard analytics couldn’t explain. The company engaged SessionCam’s insight team and used SessionCam’s tools (heatmaps, funnel analysis and session replay insights) to investigate how US visitors were interacting with product and category pages.

SessionCam’s analysis revealed key behaviors — visitors were skipping product videos, going straight to reviews, swiping product images, and those who viewed the “Discreet Packaging” page converted at a higher rate. Using these findings, Lovehoney overhauled its product page design, promoted discreet packaging on site, and is working with SessionCam to redesign and A/B test the checkout experience, driving targeted UX changes tied to measurable uplift in conversions for visitors exposed to the discretion messaging.
