Goodwill of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin is a nearly century-old nonprofit that operates 27 stores, a 33,000 sq. ft. processing plant and more than 50 donation drives a year to help people overcome barriers to employment. With a small IT staff and tight budget, the organization needed a coherent, integrated data warehouse, automated synchronization of Salesforce CRM with operational sales and donation data, and accurate, auditable reports — including weekly state reimbursement reports for e‑waste recycling — that Salesforce’s built-in tools could not deliver.

Goodwill implemented Sesame Software’s Relational Junction for Salesforce and Relational Junction ETL Manager to provide automated Salesforce backup, integrate disparate data repositories, and deliver a consistent view of sales, donations and grant data. The solution enabled timely, accurate reporting for management, donors and government agencies, streamlined analytics and reporting workflows, and has been used successfully for three years to support critical reimbursement funding and program oversight.
