Cisco Systems relied on a Salesforce.com DB Replicator for its mission-critical reporting warehouse, but the tool was discontinued in January 2006, did not support the current API, and timed out on initial loads of very large tables. At the same time, internal development and integration teams needed multiple sandbox environments with monthly refreshes.

Sesame SOFTWARE implemented Relational Junction to replicate Salesforce data to an Oracle reporting database and to build a second Salesforce org for the integration team; Sesame added product features to enable an org-clone process that copies 10 GB in two days. The result was a consistent, current view of Salesforce data for reporting, dedicated Salesforce environments for integration developers, and a stable, supported, scalable solution.
