A SES-imagotag Case Study

Preview of the Edeka Group Case Study

Edeka Group - Customer Case Study

Edeka Group, Germany’s largest supermarket corporation with roughly 4,100 stores, wanted to modernize pricing and shelf communication and in 2013 began testing electronic shelf labels (ESL) in selected outlets. To pilot this change and measure business impact, Edeka engaged SES-imagotag to supply and deploy the ESL solution.

SES-imagotag implemented its G1 retail labels (in various sizes, with black cover frames to match store design) and rolled the solution out to more than 100 stores; today more than 20,000 G1 retail labels of different sizes are installed in each of those stores. The SES-imagotag ESL rollout has been expanded across the estate (including red labels in use), integrating seamlessly into store aesthetics and supporting Edeka’s high-quality image while delivering the operational benefits of digital pricing.
