Piepenbrock, a major German facility management company, faced a challenge modernizing its in-house electronic Quality Measurement System (QMS). The legacy system was outdated, ran only on Windows Mobile 6.5, and lacked true offline functionality, forcing a cumbersome manual process for data collection. They needed a future-proof solution compatible with any mobile device or browser to ensure the high-quality service standards their customers expected.

Piepenbrock selected the Servoy platform to rebuild its QMS. Using Servoy Mobile, they developed a new application that allows inspectors to perform quality checks on any smartphone or tablet, with data seamlessly synchronizing once an online connection is available. This Servoy solution integrated with their SAP system and provided the flexibility to react quickly to customer needs. The results were significant, enabling Piepenbrock to scale its operations from 4,000 quality checks in 2011 to over 300,000 checklist items, with that number continually growing as they win new business.
