Intelligent Design, a residential and commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and roofing company in Tucson, Arizona, had been using ServiceTitan for nearly a decade, but its TitanAdvisor score was only 68. When Zack Kays joined as a software administrator, he saw the low score as a sign the team wasn’t fully using the CRM’s features and was likely leaving value on the table.
Kays used ServiceTitan’s Certified Administrator program and ServiceTitan Academy to learn the platform, then enabled and adopted more features, including chat and automation tools. As a result, Intelligent Design raised its TitanAdvisor score from 68 to 197, reaching the 85th percentile for similar-sized shops, reduced reliance on outside notification software, and supported revenue growth from $18 million in 2023 toward a $25 million goal.
