Support for Acme Packet SBC and Aastra Facilitates a Transition to VoIP

La Poste DISIT, the telecommunications and network division of the French postal service, needed a way to monitor a major transition to VoIP while still supporting its existing infrastructure. ServicePilot provided ISM Enterprise to help track the Aastra 5000 deployment, Acme Packet SBCs, 3,000 Aastra IP phones, and more than 32,000 analog phones.

ServicePilot, working with Orange Business Services, implemented a unified monitoring solution that routed calls through the Acme SBCs and collected call detail records for quality and activity reporting. As a result, La Poste could preserve its investment in analog handsets while moving toward VoIP, and Orange could monitor the full environment and maintain service quality across the customer’s voice infrastructure.
