TEC-Corp Improves Service Efficiency after Implementing Service Pro Field Service Management Software

TEC-Corp, the parent company of Thompson Electric Company and Electric Innovations, moved off manual, paper-driven service processes to address growing complexity and a younger, tech-savvy workforce. To modernize field operations and tie service work to back-office accounting (Vista by Viewpoint), TEC-Corp implemented Service Pro by MSI Data’s field service management suite and mobile app for technician work order management.

Service Pro by MSI Data was rolled out to one division first, providing iPad-based dispatch and Service Pro Mobile work order completion integrated with Vista. The change eliminated paper, reduced data reentry, and routed completed work orders straight to billing—shrinking billing turnaround from up to one or two weeks to same-day processing—while improving payroll accuracy, technician preparedness, and overall service capacity.
