Guidewire validates 23 million addresses with Service Objects

Guidewire, a developer of software for insurance companies, faced a challenge with inaccurate address data in its systems. Their software lacked robust address validation, creating a risk for correspondence and policy accuracy. They needed to fill this hole and also required a way to parse addresses into individual components, a task their own solutions could only complete with 90% accuracy. To solve this, they turned to Service Objects.

Service Objects implemented its DOTS Address Validation US and DOTS Address Geocode US APIs. This solution provided automated USPS-certified address verification, standardization, and component extraction. The result was highly accurate address data for timely mailing of critical documents and the ability to pinpoint property locations on a map for risk verification. Since 2008, Guidewire has validated over 23 million addresses using Service Objects' services.
