JQH Reduces Turnaround Time for Meetings and Events

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts, a large hospitality operator with hotels, convention centers and event venues, was slowed by a paper-based process for booking meetings and events: clients had to print, sign, scan or mail PDFs and multiple BEOs (sometimes up to 85), which created days-long delays and raised PCI/data‑access concerns. JQH needed an automated way to collect signatures and payments while reducing liability and manual work.

Starting in 2014 JQH rolled out Sertifi at 18 properties, enabling clients to sign and pay online (or submit masked card authorizations) and allowing Sales and Accounting to schedule deposits, run reports and receive automatic alerts. The digital workflow cut signature turnaround from three days to about 11 hours, locked inventory earlier for better pricing decisions, limited employee access to credit card data, reduced PCI risk, and simplified reminders and receipts—plans are underway to expand Sertifi across the portfolio.
