Tenneco, one of the world’s largest designers and manufacturers of clean air and ride performance products, needed a better way to meet international audit requirements while managing historical data across multiple SAP systems worldwide. The company was relying on manual archiving and two outdated content management systems, and its unstructured image data was difficult to access because it was stored separately from SAP. Serrala helped Tenneco address these challenges with a more automated and integrated archiving approach.

Serrala implemented a comprehensive solution combining data archiving, migration, decommissioning, and audit extraction tools, including the Corestone Archive Service and the Audit Extraction Cockpit. Tenneco migrated legacy content into a single repository, archived an additional 3.5 TB of data from production, and improved access to archived documents directly in SAP. As a result, the company reduced online data by 3.5 TB, lowered system complexity and cost, improved SAP performance, and sped up audit response times.
