Siemens automates cash application across 17 markets with Serrala

Siemens AG, a global leader in electronics and electrical engineering, faced a significant challenge in automating its accounts receivable processes. Its complex global operations used dozens of different systems, leading to inefficient cash application and limited visibility. Siemens partnered with vendor Serrala to implement its FS² AutoBank solution to address the unsustainable, email-based matching of payments and invoices.

By leveraging Serrala's SAP-embedded automation, Siemens achieved a finance-controlled cash application process with a high degree of straight-through automation. The solution resulted in a huge reduction of unapplied cash and high levels of automated matching. Following a successful pilot, Siemens independently rolled out the solution across numerous markets. Serrala's technology enabled continuous improvement without IT support, allowing Siemens to streamline its global financial processes.
