Merck, a global science and technology company, needed a better way to manage high-volume order-to-cash processes across credit, collections, and disputes in SAP. Manual credit checks, data entry, and receivables work were time-consuming and made it difficult to maintain consistent processes and transparent monitoring. Merck selected Serrala and its FS² Credit and FS² Collections solutions to automate and standardize these critical financial workflows.

Serrala implemented an end-to-end O2C solution integrated into SAP, covering automated credit scoring, daily limit monitoring, collections, and dispute management. The results were significant: credit application processing time dropped from up to six weeks to same-day handling, credit limits are now continuously updated, and bad debt has been reduced through earlier risk detection and improved workflows. Merck also gained better transparency, faster dispute handling, and more uniform processes across its European subsidiaries.
