Case Study: Baloise Group achieves greater payment and treasury efficiency with Serrala

A Serrala Case Study

Preview of the Baloise Group Case Study

Implementing a value-based IT infrastructure for better payments, cash application, cash management and treasury

Baloise Group, a major Swiss insurance company, needed to modernize its treasury and payments processes after its Excel-based cash reporting and liquidity planning reached its limits. With fragmented legacy systems, mostly manual workflows, and new Swiss XML payment requirements, Baloise turned to Serrala for an SAP-integrated solution, including FS² Payments, FS² AutoBank, FS² CashLiquidity, and FS² Treasury.

Serrala implemented a centralized, value-based IT infrastructure that brought payments, cash application, cash management, and treasury into one SAP ERP environment. The result was greater transparency and control over authorizations, faster and more automated processing, and measurable gains such as cash application automation rising from 0% to 60% and receivables automation reaching 60%, while payment formats in Switzerland were migrated to XML ahead of schedule.
