A Serrala Case Study
ABB, a global technology leader with more than 50 subsidiaries, needed to harmonize and centralize cash application across countries after years of using a mix of manual processes, SAP standard tools, and various local solutions. Working with Serrala and its AutoBank cash application solution, ABB set out to improve efficiency, standardization, transparency, and cash visibility across its global accounts receivable operations.
Serrala implemented AutoBank as a globally integrated SAP-based solution for bank statement, remittance advice, lockbox, and account statement processing, supported through pilot rollouts and structured knowledge transfer to ABB teams. The result was higher automation and matching rates across subsidiaries, including an increase in Benelux from 60% to 80%, and in some countries improvements from 40% to over 90%, while reducing manual work such as spreadsheet maintenance, printing, and manual reporting.
