A Serenic Software Case Study
The Philadelphia Zoo needed a fund accounting system that would better fit its not-for-profit operations. With annual operating revenue of $36 million, the Zoo said its previous accounting software lacked fund accounting, a logical table-driven chart of accounts, and the ability to easily extract data.
Philadelphia Zoo selected Serenic Software’s Serenic Navigator and went live in March 2003, with implementation handled by AVF Consulting. Serenic Software helped the Zoo shorten its monthly closing process by two working days, improve access to financial statements and variance analysis, and eliminate system downtime, while also making subsidiary ledger interfaces and accounts payable closing easier.
