A Serenic Software Case Study
The Arc of Middlesex County, a North Brunswick, N.J.-based nonprofit serving more than 400 people with developmental and other disabilities and their families, was running an obsolete accounting system that no longer had support. As a contractor for the State of New Jersey, it needed a new financial management system that could meet its specific tracking, reporting, budgeting, and approval requirements.
The Arc implemented Serenic Navigator for Microsoft Dynamics NAV in 2006. Serenic Software helped centralize information, improve reporting and budgeting, automate expense approvals, enable paperless accounting, and support remote access; it also saved 10-15 hours each week by importing data directly from the university donor system. The organization said the system improved financial management, made board reporting more accurate, and reduced mistakes through allocation tools and automated report distribution.
