Case Study: African Wildlife Foundation streamlines grants, procurement, and approvals with Serenic Navigator

A Serenic Software Case Study

Preview of the African Wildlife Foundation Case Study

African Wildlife Foundation Working Efficiently with Serenic Navigator

African Wildlife Foundation, the international conservation organization focused on Africa, was managing about 70 active grants across nine geographical regions and more than a dozen currencies. Its finance team was working with a patchwork of systems that required manual data entry, paper forms, and separate reporting tools, making grant tracking and budget management difficult. AWF needed a way to handle restricted grants, multiple offices, and tighter control without adding a large finance staff.

Serenic Software provided Serenic Navigator, which centralized procurement, supported replication across geographically separate offices, and helped AWF restructure accounting in Washington, Nairobi, and other African offices. The system collapsed 11 company profiles into one, eliminated monthly consolidation, and gave the organization real-time access to data while automating requisitions, expense reporting, and credit card reconciliation. AWF said the software let it keep its central finance team at about eight people while supporting 150 to 200 daily users, with better segregation of duties, stronger controls, and more transparent grant and donation tracking.
