Gritstone Bio, a company focused on immunotherapies research, needed a collaborative platform to support analysis and machine workloads for next-generation vaccines for cancer and infectious diseases. The team faced massive compute demands, extensive machine learning workloads, hybrid on-premises and cloud requirements, and the need for reproducible, auditable workflows. Seqera provided Nextflow and the Seqera platform to help meet these needs.
With Seqera, Gritstone Bio deployed Nextflow pipelines and integrated AWS services, including AWS Batch, to scale analysis and ML workloads across cloud resources. The solution increased capacity, improved collaboration, enabled reliable and auditable workflows, and reduced cloud spending by using on-demand and spot instances more efficiently while avoiding additional on-premises HPC costs.
