Syna Frankfurt, an energy network provider, needed a certified, reliable replacement for their legacy Data Protector backup solution after migrating to SAP HANA V2. Facing a complex environment that includes PureStorage with Si3 deduplication and large-scale SAP deployments, Syna required a backup solution that would integrate cleanly with their existing infrastructure. SEP Software was chosen to meet this requirement.

SEP Software implemented a comprehensive backup and recovery environment covering more than 500 VMs and over 100 physical servers, including >40 SAP HANA instances (>70 TB) on HPE Superdome, SAP IQ, Oracle, Exchange, MSSQL, VMware, and file services (>70 TB), plus bare-metal recovery for Windows and Linux (SLES). The SEP Software solution replaced Data Protector, integrated with PureStorage, and delivered certified, reliable protection across Syna Frankfurt’s estate, preserving large SAP landscapes and supporting efficient deduplication workflows.
