SH POWER, a Swiss energy provider at the Rhine Falls, faced a critical data-protection challenge: replacing a decade-old, feature-limited backup system to secure diverse, mission-critical data (energy meters, customer records, GroupWise, finance) needed for daily consumption forecasts and regulatory compliance. SEP Software implemented SEP sesam (with Swiss partner Nexpert) to deliver an agent-based, easy-to-use backup and recovery solution that supports rapid server deployment and heterogeneous platforms. Nexpert completed physical assembly and initial configuration in three days and managed a two-month migration to ensure data integrity; SH POWER now benefits from 24-hour Nexpert support, lower operating costs, eliminated compatibility issues, and a dependable backup platform that enables business growth and continuous access to critical historical and operational data.
