Sauter AG, a global facility and room automation company, needed a robust backup solution to protect a highly heterogeneous, worldwide IT landscape. Facing roughly 100 TB of data to back up (1.6 PB on media), 26 RDS locations and multiple platforms (Oracle, HCL Domino, MSSQL, MySQL, Windows on Dell hardware) while replacing NetBackup, they selected the backup software from SEP Software.

SEP Software’s backup solution was deployed to provide broad platform support and centralized protection across Sauter AG’s global sites, replacing NetBackup and covering all databases and Windows environments. The implementation delivered reliable, long‑term backups at scale—protecting ~100 TB with 1.6 PB on media across 26 locations—simplifying management and proving SEP Software’s ability to handle Sauter AG’s diverse, global backup requirements.
