East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District (ECCV) needed a modern, PCI-compliant backup solution to replace their legacy CA ARCserve software, which could no longer support their mixed Windows, Linux and Novell environment and required over 13 hours for a full backup plus constant monitoring. After consulting with Digeteks, LLC., ECCV selected SEP Software’s SEP sesam to address performance, compliance and multi‑platform support gaps.

SEP Software implemented SEP sesam across ECCV’s 14+ physical servers and 19 VMs, integrating with their Starboard Storage to enable primary-site backups and active restores to a DR site. As a result, backups now complete in about 3 hours (four times faster), time spent on administration and monitoring is nearly nonexistent, PCI compliance was achieved at no extra cost, and VM disaster recovery was realized sooner and with a lower budget.
