Collogia IT Services GmbH, a subsidiary of Collogia AG, provides SAP managed services and hosting for customers such as Postbank, Schufa and QSC. As it expanded to host roughly 50 servers (about 25 TB of file data, VMs and databases) across Windows and Red Hat Virtualization—including SAP S/4 HANA—Collogia needed to replace its script-based backups with an SAP‑ and Red Hat‑certified, MSP‑friendly solution. Collogia chose SEP Software’s SEP sesam for its SAP HANA certification, MSP license model and Linux expertise.

SEP Software implemented SEP sesam with an MSP license, central monitoring and the necessary agents to protect SAP HANA, RHV and Windows environments. After a short test phase in spring 2018 the company moved to centrally manageable backups, enabling fast recoveries, simplified administration and predictable MSP pricing; today SEP sesam protects ~50 servers and ~25 TB of customer data and has allowed Collogia to expand its hosted SAP offerings with ongoing support from SEP Software.
