Alpine School District, which supports more than 75 schools and tens of thousands of students and staff, had relied on RAID arrays and ad-hoc scripts with no formal backup for years and needed a multi-platform solution that could protect Windows, Linux, NetWare, GroupWise and databases across 42 servers and a growing SAN. After a three-year evaluation of backup products, the district selected SEP sesam from SEP Software to meet those requirements.

SEP Software deployed SEP sesam to protect nearly 10 TB of critical data and to scale with the district’s move to a 10 TB SAN; the solution allowed quick client onboarding, fast backups, and easy restores.
