Leading Challenger Bank Eradicates Bonus Abuse Thanks to SEON’s Email Module

Albo, Mexico’s leading challenger bank, was losing money to bonus hunters who exploited its referral programme despite ID checks, forcing time-consuming manual reviews. To stop fake and disposable addresses at signup, Albo selected SEON and its Email API/email module for fast email-risk analysis.

SEON’s Email API was implemented in about 30 minutes and began flagging bad emails at onboarding, removing deal hunters, improving analytics, and blocking risky users earlier. As a result, platform expenses fell by 5% and bogus email usage dropped to 0%, giving Albo cleaner data and reduced fraud costs thanks to SEON.
