Subway, the global food retailer with 44,000 shops worldwide, was facing database performance issues that were causing ordering delays for customers using its online ordering platform. To address chronic monitoring gaps and slow problem diagnosis across its 160 on-premises SQL Servers, Subway turned to SentryOne and its SQL Sentry product for performance monitoring and optimization.
SentryOne implemented its solutions across Subway’s QA and production database environments, including Amazon RDS for SQL Server, helping the team quickly identify and fix problematic queries. As a result, Subway cut the time needed to collect data and diagnose each production performance issue from about an hour to roughly five minutes, a 92% reduction, while also empowering DBAs and developers to proactively resolve issues.
